This project investigates the use of vector fields to reinterpret the spatial qualities and representational logic of Turkish water marbling, a technique characterized by its organic, ridge-like topographies. The original artwork is first translated into a heightmap using Grasshopper, capturing its tonal and geometric variations as a continuous surface. This heightmap then serves as the underlying topography upon which a point cloud and corresponding vector field are generated and allowed to develop.
